(SP On-Product)

Software program are inherently copy-able, so the task to protect them from unauthorized duplications is indeed tremendously difficult. There are copy protection schemes available but they are unsatisfactory. As Counterfeit software are spreading all over the world, one password will be used for thousands of duplications that are reselling in software markets. A loss of sales and profit are natural consequences for the software producers.
If a technology prevents a counterfeit, it will prevents a dissemination of software. The copyright piracy and dispossession of the sale right are increasing worldwide and are detrimental to software producers.

Software Design 2000 would like to contribute an invention called "Plug & Play Software Protection" to the world, wishes to take back the justice to the copyright of software.

Software Protection On-Product is abbreviated "SP On-Product". And its purpose is to protect  a shrink-wrap retail product (CD-ROM) by packaging with a floppy disk.

It includes a software Lock and Key. The Lock is residing with the protected software on a CD-ROM, the Key is embedded into a Floppy disk that is called "SP-DKey". The SP-DKey is not inherently copy-able and in-effect is  a purchase license.

Utilities of SP On-Product:

• Allows free duplication of a protected software (CD-ROM) to disseminate unlimitedly, but prevents from re-sales of counterfeit.

• Examines SP-DKey, if it is an invalid key the protected software will change its status to become a trial product.  SP-DKey cannot be clowned.

• SP-DKey allows to set a quantity of installation of protected software. Therefore SP On-Product controls a spread out of illicit use.
